Ecosystem · My Bridge

A city. In one app.

My Bridge is a hyperlocal social-commerce platform. Five surfaces in one app: a social feed, a peer-to-peer marketplace, a local business directory, a built-in wallet on Nera Chain, and a gamified participation layer.

A counterpoint to global ad-driven social media. Built for one city. Replicable to many.

What My Bridge Is

Five apps, one identity.

Mainstream platforms split these surfaces across separate apps and separate logins. My Bridge bundles them under a single Nera Name Service identity. The same account is producer, consumer, follower, and citizen.

Social Feed

Text, images, video, polls, and live broadcasts. The everyday rhythm of a community.

Peer-to-Peer Marketplace

Buy and sell within your city. No shipping a couch across the country.

Local Business Directory

Deals, reviews, photos, hours, and follows. One canonical record per business.

Custodial Wallet (NNS)

Built-in wallet on Nera Chain. Custodial at signup. Self-custody when the user wants it.

Gamified Participation

Bridge Points, lootboxes, streaks, and on-chain attendance NFTs. Participation gets rewarded.

A Different Model

Hyperlocal, not hyperscale.

Mainstream social platforms optimize for global attention, monetized through algorithmically-targeted advertising. The unit economics demand opaque ranking, platform-owned identity, and moderation by machine. My Bridge is positioned as a deliberate counterpoint along five axes.

Axis

Scope

Traditional Social

Global social graph. Cross-cultural virality is the growth objective.

My Bridge

Every user, business, and event anchored to one city. Discovery is intentionally local.

Axis

Identity

Traditional Social

Platform-owned handles, tied to phone or email. Account loss equals identity loss.

My Bridge

NNS name backed by a wallet on Nera Chain. The platform stores metadata. It does not own your handle.

Axis

Monetization

Traditional Social

Free to users. Revenue is sale of attention to advertisers, which warps the feed.

My Bridge

No third-party advertising. Revenue from business subscriptions and ticketed events. Users earn Bridge Points instead of paying.

Axis

Algorithm

Traditional Social

Closed ML model. Opaque ranking, hidden weights, no real user input.

My Bridge

Documented feeds. Following, Latest, For You, Live, Reels, Polls. No shadow ranking. No hidden weighting.

Axis

Creator economy

Traditional Social

Gated by audience size and platform partner programs. Ad revenue share is opaque and revocable.

My Bridge

Direct on-chain NERA tipping during live broadcasts. Each tip is a Nerachain transaction the creator owns forever.

Under The Hood

Built to work in practice.

Transparent Feed Tabs

Six surfaces. For You is 30% trending (last 48h) interleaved with 70% reverse-chronological. Latest is pure reverse-chron. Following shows posts from followed users and businesses only. Live, Reels, and Polls filter by content type. The ranking logic lives in the codebase, not in a black box.

On-Chain Attendance

When you check into an event, you mint an NFT on Nera Chain. Optionally with AI-generated artwork. The receipt is yours forever, independent of the platform. A passport stamp, not a wristband.

Live Streaming with Tipping

WHIP ingest through a MediaMTX gateway, HLS playback, glass-to-glass latency around five seconds. Viewers tip in NERA. Each tip is a recorded transaction. Recordings save for replays.

Unified Business Profiles

Hours with a live "Open now" indicator. Photo gallery. Reviews with denormalized averages. Deals redeemable in-store via QR or online via deeplink. Followers see business posts in their feed exactly like personal posts.

The Replication Thesis

One city now. Many cities next.

The thesis behind My Bridge is that a hyperlocal, vertically-integrated social-commerce platform can sustain itself culturally and economically in a market dominated by hyperscale incumbents. The follow-up question is whether the form factor is replicable. If My Bridge works in Lethbridge, the same codebase can be re-instanced for any city whose population, business density, and civic calendar make a hyperlocal platform viable. The economics of operating ten city-scale instances may be more favorable than operating one global platform of equivalent total scale.
